In spring of 2006, seven men decided to seek out the creation of a new organization for those interested in strengthening the Multicultural community at Loyola University of Chicago and the surrounding Chicago land area. Various organizations were reached, but one was amplified by its greatness: Omega Delta Phi. A unanimous decision was made to pursue the goal of establishing and Omega Delta Phi chapter at this prestigious university. In February 18, 2006 contact was made and a formal petition was presented to begin the process. These seven men were well on the way to establish the FIRST and ONLY multicultural fraternity on Loyola campus. With this choice, they accepted the responsibility and the honor to promote the sacraments of UNITY, HONESTY, INTEGRITY, and LEADERSHIP. Their hard work and determination established what is known today as the premiere fraternity on this campus and bringing the FIRST Omega Delta Phi entity to Chicago. A support group for educated Multicultural men was finally established, thereby ensuring a forum for continued service towards the community as well as a venue to promote academic success at this prestigious institution. And so it grows as it goes…
